Vintage Camera Collection

So far I have seven cameras in my vintage camera collection, five of them being Polaroid instant cameras. From left to right:
- Top Row:
- Polaroid One600
- One of the more modern Polaroids, this one is sleek, simple, and to the point. While it’s more basic than the others in my collection and doesn’t look as fancy or vintage, it’s still very practical and I like to use it to shoot.
- Polaroid OneStep 600
- This was the first Polaroid I ever got. It’s built like a tank, and I’ve captured some great memories on it. Overall it’s a great all-arounder camera, not too fancy but it gets the job done.
- Polaroid Spectra Onyx
- This camera takes Spectra film (also known as Image film in other regions.) Polaroid Originals/Impossible Project used to make this kind of film, but due to these cameras degrading leading to film jamming as well as production issues, manufacturing ceased and film is running out by the day. I’ve never used this camera and I have no idea if it even works, but at least it looks nice on my shelf.
- Polaroid Spirit 600
- Unlike other Polaroids, the flash isn’t built in to this one. Like the older SX-70s, you were expected to buy disposable flash cartridges along with your film. Unfortunately, there’s no MiNT flashbar for this model, so I’m stuck using this in outdoor, high light conditions only.
- Polaroid One600
- Bottom Row:
- Polaroid 300
- This is one of the last instant cameras Polaroid made before they went out of business in the early 2000s. Strangely enough, it’s actually completely cross-compatible with Fuji Instax film.
- Game Boy Camera
- This was actually one of the first digital cameras that ever made it to market. It’s a completely self-contained Nintendo Game Boy cartridge with its own memory, and it can hold about 30 128×112 pictures in four shades of gray.
- Sony Mavica FD92
- This camera caught my eye because of its ability to store pictures to floppy disks. Yes, you read that right. It’ll take any 3 1/2 inch disk and store 1280×960 images to them. This particular model also has a memory stick slot and a USB port, but in my opinion that kind of takes the fun out of using it.
- Polaroid 300
My next goal is to find an SX-70, but it seems like that’s gonna be hard since cameras in decent condition run a hefty price tag.
